October Viking Star 'Changing Colors' Cuise Montreal to Ft. Lauderdale
The weather in Austria, Hungary, Germany Italy, Switzerland, France, or just about any place abroad is usually perfect in October for sightseeing, outdoor dining, window shopping or just strolling on the boulevard this time of year, but this fall of 2024 is proving to be a bit different. News reports on major flooding has been reported, I was sent photos of friends driving through torrential rain in Venice, but that never stopped me I just put on my colorful raincoat and trucked it through the rain during Viking tours! I've had some of my most memorable and successful travel writing trips in the month of October, a time when it is not as crowded or as hot.
Many of my travel writer friends are on assigment and are traveling around the world again. This is usually the perfect time to Cruise the rivers in Europe on Viking River Cruise ships and savor the sights and flavors they offer but the rain and flooded created some September route challenges. There are exciting new ocean and river cruises being offered by Viking including some new cruises to China and also fun river cruises on the Mississippi River. I was traveling on the STAR from Montreal, through Canadian seaside cities and US eastern harbor cities and Ft. Lauderdale last year in Octob er and it was so fall colorful. Note to travelers: Always Keep checking travel sources for any new restrictions.
I've been getting great reports from writer friends who are boarding planes and traveling to far away destinations on how things are opening up and travel is on for now. Good idea to get a flue shot this month and there is talk of a new vaccine for a different strain of covid, ask your doctor.
People are still getting covid in my area and some are very sick. Just sayin' take a mask along to be safe.

In 21 years I have never included political focus in Life Bites News, however, this election can change America in a horrible way forever if the dangerous Trump is elected. What he brags about doing to American women is a disgrace and I am fighting with my women frinds to elect Kamala Harris in November 2024. Please join me and keep America Safe! I am also asking you to please cast your vote for the sane choice Kamala Harris for President, please look at the facts and VOTE to protect America! I am no longer a republican due to the circus created by the previous president, who deliberately caused an insurrection and death in our Capitol. I thank President Biden for always doing what is best for America and love him more than ever. He will go down as one of the finest Presidents our country has ever had!
Pray for our young men and women fighting in foreign countries. They need our prayers -- they need to come home safely! May God help the victims of sensless attacks around the world.
Continue to support your local restaurants, hotels and business' and let's give America a renewed strength and abundance of growth in 2024-25.
Hoping your fall season is colorful and filled with love. Cordially,
