October 2005

Letter From The Publisher

Dear Life Bites News Readers,

October presents a head start for holiday planning, and the enjoyment of fall food favorites. Cities around the world will be celebrating Oktoberfest, and everyone will begin making travel plans for the holidays. This month's issue contains a variety of stories on International travel destinations, including the Bulgari Hotel & Spa in Milan, a profile on Executive Chef Conny Andersson of the Regent Beverly Wilshire, seated at the entrance to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, some wonderful new food and gift ideas, along with a look at some interesting Book Bites. Our cub reporter Cody Hilton will share a fun filled day at Universal Studio, and Le Mas Candille Hotel will inspire you to escape to France. "Rome" has come to HBO, and has been warmly welcomed by television viewing audiences, and Demi Moore, and Ashton Kutcher got married.

We had a surprise communication this month with Patrick Terrail, former owner of Ma Maison in Beverly Hills, and we discovered he has a magazine and cooking school called Gaby, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Many of the best chefs in the country passed through Terrail's kitchen, and his knowledge of food and wine is unending. Wolfgang Puck, who worked at Ma Maison in the early days of his career, recently became a father to his third son. Congratulations to father, mother and baby!

Williams-Sonoma founder Chick Williams will celebrate Founder's Day weekend Oct 1-2 at your local store with recipe demonstrations. As the holidays approach, we will be presenting gift ideas in our Gift Bites section, spotlighting some unusual, healthy, sinful and original gift suggestions to help take the headache out of buying for friends and family.

Thank you for joining us this month. We hope you are enjoying the magazine, and continue to log on for food, travel, health trends, and more each month. If you have editorial questions or wish to advertise with us please email us at TOLIFEBITES@aol.com or writebc@aol.com.

Cordially,
