Celebrations of St. Patrick's Day, and all things Irish, including Parades and parties honoring the patron saint of Ireland will be a highlight in major United States cities, as well as Dublin, Ireland on March 17th. Below you will find a favorite St. Pat's Day recipe for corned beef and cabbage to enjoy at your 'wearing of the green' celebration dinner. New York, Boston and Chicago all feature great parades to celebrate this great day! Chicago dyes the river green, but it has been frozen solid so who knows?
Our Chef/Hotel Profile this month is on the historic Hyatt Carmel Highlands which is located on the most beautiful ocean area in California, and is now featurig vegan and plant-based menu items in their four star restaurant. Lots of Valentine Celebration coverage honoring rose wine for the day of lovers included Margerum Wines, Foley Wines and so many more along with divine chocolates on the American Riviers. The American Heart Association held a fantastic strut for "Go Red" up State Street in Santa Barbara and I had the honor of joining them. January/February was the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. This month also brought some fantastic talent at the Grammy Awards and NAMM, and the Academy honored excellence in entertainment. Oscar presentations .jpg) to honor excellence in film in Hollywood, is where the best of the best went home with the golden guy. Once again we visited celebrity gifting suites presented by special event professionals at all the Best Beverly Hills & Hollywood Hotels. WOW! and GBK visit was outstanding, as was seeing Gavin Keilly again. This was one of the best Oscar Awards - the best I've seen yet, and Actor Brad Pitt stole everyone's heart.

John co-authored a book of poems while he was in a seminary, but later became a co-founder of the American Theatre Guild, and co-founder of the first Catholic Motion Picture Company in Hollywood, worked in New York as a playwright and Hollywood as a screen writer at MGM. Cordially, Bonnie Carroll Publisher/Editor ________________________________________________________________ Or enjoy Stir-fry Cabbage with Mustard and Chives by Amy Sherman 6 cups cabbage, cut into approximately 1 inch squares (about 1/2 head)1/4 cup water 1/2 ActiFry spoon extra virgin olive oil 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 3 teaspoons chives, mustard Whisk together the water, olive oil, mustard, sugar and salt. Place the cabbage in the ActiFry and drizzle the sauce on top. Cook for 15 minutes or until tender-crisp. Top with minced chives.
