Lily Collins (Emily in Paris) Returns to Rome for Season V
It is hard for me to believe that the very young Lily Collins I knew years ago in Beverly Hills has become one of the most recognizable stars on the planet. I remember her telling me when she was twelve "I want to write stories like you Bonnie, I want to interview people on TV just like you." It is commendable that this sweet young girl got busy studying in a fine school with a great drama department and worked very hard to develop her craft. She seemed oblivious to the reality that her famous father musician Phil Collins could make anything she wanted happen, but she set out to earn it for herself and had done just that.
Bonnie Carroll, Lyn Fairley Interview with Lily Collins
I was beyond thrilled when I had a chance to interview her during my red carpet coverage of the Santa Barbara International Film Festial Kirk Douglas Awards at the Bacara Hotel in Santa Barbara a few years ago and she immediately recognized me and called to her mother Jill Collins who was standing nearby, "mom look it's Bonnie Carroll" and preceeded to give a lovely interview to me and a Ventura TV announcer Lyn Fairley.
I spoke with her mother Jill after the interview and asked how Lily was doing with all of the excitement and new attention and Jill said "just look at her, she is the happiest she has ever been in her life, she was born to do this!" said Jill.
Emily (Lily Collins) appeared on Good Morning America this AM to announce she will be back in Paris again. Fresh off the debut of the final episodes of Season 4, Netflix has renewed “Emily in Paris” for Season 5. The new season will continue the adventures of Lily Collins’ character in both Paris and Rome, as Season 4 ended with Emily opening a new office in Rome after sparking up a romance with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini).
