Lily Collins (Emily in Paris) Returns to Rome for Season V

It is hard for me to believe that the very young Lily Collins I knew years ago in Beverly Hills has become one of the most recognizable stars on the planet. I remember her telling me when she was twelve "I want to write stories like you Bonnie, I want to interview people on TV just like you." It is commendable that this sweet  young girl got busy studying in a fine school with a great drama department and worked very hard to develop her craft. She seemed oblivious to the reality that her famous father musician Phil Collins could make anything she wanted happen, but she set out to earn it for herself and had done just that.

Bonnie Carroll, Lyn Fairley Interview with Lily Collins

I was beyond thrilled when I had a chance to interview her during my red carpet coverage of the Santa  Barbara International Film Festial Kirk Douglas Awards at the Bacara Hotel in Santa Barbara a few years ago and she immediately recognized me and called to her mother Jill Collins who was standing nearby, "mom look it's Bonnie Carroll" and preceeded to give a lovely interview to me and a Ventura TV announcer Lyn Fairley.

I spoke with her mother Jill after the interview and asked how Lily was doing with all of the excitement and new attention and Jill said "just look at her, she is the happiest she has ever been in her life, she was born to do this!" said Jill.

Emily (Lily Collins) appeared on Good Morning America this AM to announce she will be back in Paris again. Fresh off the debut of the final episodes of Season 4, Netflix has renewed “Emily in Paris” for Season 5. The new season will continue the adventures of Lily Collins’ character in both Paris and Rome, as Season 4 ended with Emily opening a new office in Rome after sparking up a romance with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini).

Kevin Costner & Modern West to Open One805LIVE! Benefit, September 20th, 2024!
Concert held at Coster’s Oceanside Summerland Estate on September 20th, 2024

Kevin Costner & Modern West opened the One805LIVE! Benefit on September 20th, 2024! with Pink & Dallas Green (You + Me), Kenny Loggins, Alan Parsons, Joe Bonamassa, Richard Marx, and Jordan Asher Huffman ...  Al Stewart, Alyssa Bonagura, Plastic Harpoons and The Santa Barbara Symphony
Legendary Kevin Costner, along with his band Modern West, kicked off the night with their electrifying blend of country rock. This was a rare opportunity for attendees to experience live music from one of Hollywood's most iconic figures, all in support of our local heroes—the First Responders of Santa Barbara County.
Kevin Costner & Modern West, is an Americana and rock band founded by actor Kevin Costner in 2007. Their first album, Untold Truths, was released in 2008 and reached No. 61 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 35 on the Top Heatseekers chart. Singles released from that album include “Superman 14,” “Long Hot Night” and “Backyard.” The band’s second album, Turn It On, was followed by a tour through Europe. The band’s 2012 album, Famous For Killing Each Other: Music From and Inspired By Hatfields & McCoys, peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Country Album chart. Coinciding with Costner’s star turn as John Dutton in the TV Series "Yellowstone," the band released Tales from Yellowstone, a collection of songs written from the perspective of that character. Songs from that album were featured on Season 3 of the show. Since their inception in 2007, Kevin Costner & Modern West have toured the globe sharing their music with fans. Four studio albums later, the band is on the road again with the Tales from Yellowstone 2021 Tour.
Kevin Costner told the excited crowd "You are always welcome in my backyard"!
Headliners Pink & Dallas Green performed as duo You + Me, a Canadian American folk music duo consisting of singers and songwriters Dallas Green, better known as City and Colour, and Alecia Moore, better known as Pink. Santa Barbara hometown favorite, Kenny Loggins, will give his first performance at One805LIVE! since his final tour last year.  13-time Grammy Award nominee and Grammy Award winner, recording artist, songwriter, musician, and record producer Alan Parsons OBE, was the Musical Director for One805Live!  Joe Bonamassa also performed at the One805LIVE! Also on stage Al Steward, a Scottish-born singer-songwriter and folk-rock musician who rose to prominence as part of the British folk revival in the 1960s and 1970s,  Grammy award-winning recording artist and professional songwriter Richard Marx also joined this year’s extraordinary line-up. Richard Marx has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won the Song of the Year Grammy in 2004 for co-writing Luther Vandross’ “Dance with My Father”.  A songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Nashville-based singer-songwriter and recording artist Jordan Asher Huffman was One805’s 2024 Mental Wellness Ambassador performed His single Out Loud which served as this year's anthem for all One805LIVE! events. Somewhere in the electric space between Tom Petty’s no-nonsense hooks and Queen’s extravagant solos, Santa Barbara based Plastic Harpoons, carved out a sound that’s unmistakably their own.  The Santa Barbara Symphony skilled symphony Maestro Nir Kabaretti blended its dynamic sound with selected One805LIVE! Alan Parsons OBE, acted as musical director with Tom Brooks.
