Ms. Carroll will perform songs ranging from Debussy to Mahler, Rachmaninoff, Spanish songs and a collection of Holiday tunes. About the Artists Soprano Andrea Carroll made her professional debut at just 23 years of age, starring as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro at Fort Worth Opera. Praised for her “vibrant soprano voice” by Opera News and her “excellent comedic timing” by The New York Times, Carroll was the top prize-winner of both the 2012 Houston Grand Opera Eleanor McCollum Competition and the 2011 Sullivan Foundation Competition. As a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio, she appeared in roles including Musetta in La bohème and Adele in Die Fledermaus. Upcoming performances include Woglinde in Das Rheingold in Houston, Rosalba in Florencia en el Amazonas with Washington National Opera, and Julie Jordan in Carousel with Glimmerglass Opera.
