Alice Louise Waters is an American chef, restaurateur, activist, and author. She is the owner of Chez Panisse, a Berkeley, California, restaurant famous for its organic, locally grown ingredients and for pioneering California cuisine, which she opened in 1971. She has authored many books, this one being "We Are What We Eat" the most recent. She has been honored by the greats for her knowledge and devotion to being healthy through good eating. She is renowned for her activitism and still is.

Bobby Flay on Rachel Ray Show 6/21 New Book BEAT BOBBY FLAY, Available everywhere Chef Bobby Flay has a great new book out called Beat Bobby Flay. He has published three books, recently opened the Amalfi Restaurant in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas that is getting rave reviews from the critics, and is starring in a Bobby Flay TV show. PRESENTING MONTHLY BOOKS FOR BREAKFAST MEETINGS By Bonnie Carroll The AWCSB will be presenting a Books For Breakfast series of events in Santa Barbara beginning Wednesday, July 14 at Caje Coffee-Arlington Street, 1316 State Street from 7:30 am til 9:00 am. Meetings are free, and breakfast is on you. 
On July 14 book will be Fostering Equity, Empathy and Belonging Across Differences b6y Mar-Frances Winters and will include conversations with the author. 
On Wednesday, August 11 Author Claire Wasserman, The Ultimate Guide to Breaking Barriers, Owning Your Worth and Taking Command of Your Career will be on the menu for discussion at Caje Coffee-Arlington.
