MERRY AND BRIGHT IN VEGAS: NEON MUSEUM ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY
PHOTO SESSIONS FOR FAMILIES, HOLIDAY EVENTS

Holiday photo mini-sessions in North Gallery offered Saturday,
Nov. 19

Annual December to Remember family events and Junior Interpreter
Tour on Dec. 17

For the very first time, the Neon Museum is offering an opportunity to book mini-photo sessions, especially for family holiday photos. On Saturday, Nov. 19, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., families can book a 15-minute photo session in the North Gallery for $150. The price includes the photographer’s rate and up to five select digital images delivered via email following the session. Mini-sessions must be prepaid in advance, space is limited, and up to 10 people may attend family photo shoots. For reservations please email info@neonmuseum.org and mention the “Mini Holiday Shoot” in the email.  Additional photos and holiday cards will also be available through the photographer.

This year, families have a variety of festive reasons to attend the Neon Museum’s annual “December to Remember” holiday celebration, which takes place Saturday, Dec. 17, from 2 to 6 p.m. It begins with ornament-making in the Boneyard Park and family photo ops with Santa in the North Gallery from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by hot chocolate and caroling by Las Vegas Academy choir in the colorfully illuminated Neon Museum Boneyard from 5 to 6 p.m. “December to Remember” is part of the City of Las Vegas Cultural Corridor’s holiday festival. This event is free and open to the public; reservations are not required.

In addition, a Junior Interpreter tour for families with children ($5 per person, reservations required at www.neonmuseum.org) will be offered that day in the Neon Museum Boneyard from 3 to 3:45 p.m., plus Neon Museum members will have exclusive access to the Neon Boneyard from 4 to 5 p.m.

For more information about tours and special events at the Neon Museum, go to www.neonmuseum.org or call (702) 387-6366.

ABOUT THE NEON MUSEUM
Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment. It has been named “Best Museum” by Las Vegas Weekly, one of “Sin City’s Best Retro Sites” by MSN, “No. 1 Las Vegas Museum Sure to Entertain and Educate” by USAToday’s 10best.com, “One of the Top 10 Coolest Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do” by Forbes.com, one of the “Top 10 Historic Spots in Las Vegas” by Vegas.com; one of “15 Most Fascinating Museums in the U.S.” by VacationIdea.com; and earns a consistent 4.5 out of 5 rating on TripAdvisor. In addition to an approximately two-acre Neon Museum campus, which includes the outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, the museum also encompasses a visitors’ center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby as well as nine restored signs installed as public art throughout downtown Las Vegas. Public education, outreach, research, archival preservation and a grant-funded neon sign survey represent a selection of the museum’s ongoing projects. Both the Neon Boneyard and the La Concha Visitors’ Center are located at 770 Las Vegas Blvd. North in Las Vegas. For more information, visit www.NeonMuseum.org.
