View from The Aster Rooftop Lounge The luncheon I experienced in the Lemon Grove was a celebration of my birthday week and a delightful surprise of exquisite fresh ingredients prepared and presented in a lemon grove environment, complete with stunning views and a delightful open air appeal, along with a stylish and appealing ambiance. Compliments to the designer of this totally chic and relaxing, blue and white comfort zone. According to Mark Poffenbarger, general manager, the rooftop has hosted some of LA’s most amazing parties where guests have enjoyed top musical entertainment, a bevy of creative cocktails, best bites in town and a view of the Hollywood Sign. The Lemon Grove menu would appeal to every taste, offering choices in vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free friendly dishes, and more. This welcoming venue features lemon trees, fire pits and gorgeous views to enjoy over dinner or creative cocktails. The dinner menu is a vegetarian or meat eaters dream that highlights a bevy of divine starters like Chicken Liver and Onion Rings or Octopus Carpaccio and entrees that include Short Rib Rigatoni Pasta, Chermoula, Duck Confit, Seared Dayboat Scallops, Burrata Caprese and more. The Member’s Club Wrap of grilled chicken, country bacon, pickled pepper, beefsteak tomato, pepper jack, gem lettuce, red onion, avocado, aioli in a spinach tortilla was picture perfect and the vegetable Smash Burger with Louie sauce, onions, cheese, pickles, on a brioche bun with side salad and fries was positively outstanding. Additional interesting lunch/brunch menu items included Dinosaur Kale salad with pomegranate, pear, goat cheese, candied pecans, cranberry balsamic dressing in a spinach wrap and the signature Lemon Pasta of Chitarra pasta, tom kha, makrut lime essence, melted leeks and cherry tomatoes that were all tempting. I also spied a divine California Charcuterie & Cheese Board being served to the couple sitting near ours that would be outstanding with one of their many wine selections. The Aster 24-hour fitness center offers top cardio equipment, a separate weight room, outdoor pool and soon to be available Pilates studio. Complimentary classes of full body circuit, HII, boxing yoga, breathwork and sound bath sessions are available. Club members may also enjoy film screenings in the 36-seat indoor Cinema with comfortable recliners to enjoy your favorite films in style.
Bonnie Carroll LBN Publisher with Mark & Matt Harris WOW! Creations
I discovered this super show business venue through a media invitation to the WOW! Creations pre-Emmy Award suite sponsored by the renowned Harris Brothers, Mark and Matt Harris, where I saw an old friend and fellow actor Actor William Shatner sharing stories with the Twins. I have now put this fantastic venue on my ‘be back’ number one list for 2024. To craft a perfect Los Angeles experience or for Club Member inquiries contact (323)963-5522 or sales@theasterla.com.
