CHIC DESIGN VISUALS AT THE AVALON New Style to Savor with Breakfast at Oliverio By Bonnie Carroll Having done some of the original opening stories when this Beverly Hills hotel with a hot Hollywood history opened, at the point where Beverly Drive and Olympic Boulevard meet, I welcomed the opportunity to go back and enjoy the innovative new design changes they have implemented in public areas, including the Oliverio restaurant, lobby and private poolside cabanas. 
The indoor restaurant is beautiful in shades of blue, the dining and meeting outer area which surrounds the pool is simply stunning in coordinating colors, and makes use of every possible inch of space with comfortably chic furnishings. This pool area is an ideal location for business presentations and has always been a favorite for entertainment cocktail parties, especially during award show dates. The service at the restaurant is relaxed, and the menu offers modern Italian cuisine. The breakfast menu is not complicated, but offers delicious familiar morning favorites with an Italian twist. Breakfast includes everything from a variety of omelets to fresh smoked salmon with bagels, oatmeal swimming in all the tasty toppings, a bevy of cocktails, fresh fruit juice or smoothies, along with some healthy yogurt, fruit, and berry combinations.  Our morning selections included poached eggs over hash browns with hollandaise sauce, served with fresh fruit, and a creative egg wrap served with an arugula salad. Bellini’s or just wonderful fresh orange juice would be the ideal pairing for this ‘start the day right’ delight. The coffee at Oliverio is european delicious and they will serve it any way you like it.
